Chic, Outdoor Pool Party...with a Twist

When my client asked me to plan a chic, outdoor pool party with 'WELCOME TO THE SHIT SHOW' as the theme, for her 50th-ISH birthday, I was ecstatic!!! Not only did this lend itself to multiple possibilities of ideas, decor, etc., but it allowed me to utilize my creative bone....just a tad, lol!

The MOOD: chic, classy, islandy, light, airy, swanky, modern, pool party

The COLORS and TEXTURES: white, pops of chrome gold, sheer/swag fabrics, white flowers and feathery/fringe greenery

The setting itself was beautiful on it's own and the decor took it to the next level. It was welcoming and inviting for the guests with a splash of boujee.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted by the valet service, A&A Valet Parking Solutions.

The front entry was decorated with a welcome sign made by Pastel Prints Design shop on Etsy and balloon garlands.

As guests entered, they passed the delicious dessert bar topped with a floating organic balloon display. The desserts chosen for this event were cupcakes, rock candy, mini donuts by The Donut Fairy, and macaroons and lollipops by Stiff Peaks & Little Feet.

Hors d'oeuvres were set up for guests to enjoy in the outdoor kitchen on the back patio. Koozies and customized water bottles were made available.

The outdoor pool and bar area were covered in white and chrome gold balloons and greenery. Large white balloons were customized with 'Welcome to the Shit Show' and were made to float in the pool area, serving as a great photo op for the pool party! The swim up bar was topped with an organic balloon display with greenery hanging down.

The patio and yard area were filled with games and fun things to do, such as beer pong, giant jenga, cornhole, and horse float races. There were cocktail tables and comfy places for guests to eat, sit, mingle and relax. The cocktail tables were covered with white linen tied with greenery, white floral arrangements, candles and handmade light up tequila bottles. The beautiful floral arrangements and greenery bundles were made and delivered by Karla Lazo Floral Designs. The greenery was placed to hang from the balloons under the umbrellas for a chic, fun affect and feel.

Our amazing bar tender, from Beyond Bartending, was super professional and catered to the guests at the swim up bar.

Religion Tequila sponsored the event and shared samples of their organic tequila with the guests. They made a specialty Grapefruit and Jalapeno Margarita for the birthday girl and guests.

A taco bar, catered by Cilantro's Mexican Grill, was a perfect addition for hungry guests! Taco bout a Shit Show :)

All in all, it was a beautiful event and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such an amazing host and her family. Can't wait to top this one with them in events to follow!

Happiest of Birthdays, Mitch!!!
